ECW rating

The 11/18/2008 edition of ECW on Sci Fi did a 1.15 cable rating. Last week’s edition got a 1.2 rating. It’s about time they beat TNA again!

WWE Releases an ECW Superstar

World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of ECW Superstar Armando Estrada as of Nov. 18, 2008. WWE wishes him the best in all future endeavors.

Now he’ll have plenty of time to smoke them cuban cigars he’s always sporting.

Raw rating dips

Monday Night Raw drew a final 2.9 cable rating, which is down from last week’s 3.1 number. The first hour drew a 2.91 and the second hour drew a 2.82. That’s the second week in a row that hour two of Raw has seen a drop from hour one.

Smackdown on MyNetwork TV

SmackDown from this past Friday night, 11/7, set a MyNetwork TV record with 1.6 million viewers among adults 18-49. The show also came in ahead of NBC’s 1.1 rating in the key demographic.The show averaged a 2.1 household rating overall, and also set MNTV viewership records among adults 18-34, adults 25-24, and key male demographics.

Smackdown rating

Last Friday night’s edition of Smackdown drew a final 1.7 network rating. The number is low most likely due to the broadcast happening on Halloween night.

I guess that would be considered a trick!

Raw rating

The 3 hour Raw special drew a 3.0 cable rating. The first hour drew a 2.7, the second hour drew a 3.2 and hour three scored a 3.3. I’m sure Vince is just all warm and fuzzy after this latest failure to capture an audience. I’m sure hot shotting the belt is going to help…. RIGHT!

TNA rating

This week’s edition of TNA iMPACT drew a 1.2 rating on Spike TV, up from their usual 1.1 rating. This was the company’s first broadcast in HD and featured the all-new redesigned Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida.

The highest rated segment featured the Mick Foley/Sting verbal exchange which popped a 1.22 rating. The lowest rated segment featured the Motor City Machine Guns vs. Tanahashi and Volador.

The main event match of Kurt Angle vs. Abyss which featured Scott Steiner’s return drew a 1.18 rating, meaning the show retained most of the audience that tuned in for Foley and Sting.
